In the summer of 2019, the men of The Compline Choir made a pilgrimage to Canterbury and Salisbury, England, and so, with the full support of the Compline Choir and cathedral leadership, Director Jason Anderson asked Saint Mark’s Associate Musician Rebekah Gilmore to assemble an all-female choir to chant the office in their absence. These services were deeply moving to many, and have become a tradition at Saint Mark’s, offered several times throughout the year, usually in the summer.
In 2023, the Women’s Compline Choir will sing the office on July 30 and August 6.
In 2024, they will sing the office on August 4, 11, and 18.
